This practical two hour workshop is designed for those aiming for a normal (natural) birth. Guided by an experienced midwife instructor you will work your way through several tools useful to prepare body, mind and spirit for labour.
You and your support person will practice various skills with the aim of learning how to arrive, and remain in, the birthing 'zone'. While in the 'zone' your birth hormones will flow, in balance, and you can enjoy steady progress towards your baby's arrival.
In order to maintain this flow of birth hormones your support person will ideally play a fundamental role in assisting you to remain comfortable throughout labour. They will leave the workshop with a clear understanding of their tasks on your baby's birthday.
Due to the space needed to practice activities Art of Birth Workshops are limited to four couples only.
